Hicare Research has been invited to Tokyo to attend a series of meetings with potential Japanese partners, from 6 to 8 October 2009. Under the Ceatec exhibition, JETRO (the Japan External Trade Organization) invites every year a group of firms in the Information Communication Technology sector.
JETRO is a Japanese semi-governmental institution, affiliated to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, established to promote trade relations between Japan and the rest of the world. Besides the main activity of promoting investment, it is committed to providing market information, such as customs and regulatory framework, sector studies, import-export statistics. The package of services, which users can receive for free, includes access to databases with names of potential Japanese partners, as well as legal, administrative and marketing advice.
Hicare Research was selected by the Chamber of Commerce of Turin, and then by UCLA, among the six most innovative Information and Communication Technology companies in Piedmont, Italy.
GAP (Global Access Program) by Anderson School of Management in Los Angeles (UCLA), is managed in Italy by the Chamber of Commerce of Turin, in collaboration with the Torino Wireless Foundation and the Polytechnic of Turin, the Turin Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, the Industrial Union of Turin, the Association of Mechanical and Mechatronics Companies, the Istituto Superiore Mario Boella and the Foreign Center for Internationalization.
GAP is targeted to accompany firms in developing a strategy of international growth. It has been proposed every year since 1998 to a group of 40 companies in 10 countries - including Italy, and specifically Piedmont, selected with regards to product innovation and corporate organizational models.
Think Up is a 3-year project (2007-2009) aimed at promoting abroad a selection of best in class ICT (Information and Communication Technology) companies from Piemonte region and is now offering a reserved lane to meet them and develop business and cooperation. The project is promoted by the Torino Chamber of Commerce, with the aegis of Regione Piemonte, and is managed by highly experienced technical partners such as Torino Wireless Foundation, CSI-Piemonte (Consortium for Information Systems) and Piemonte Agency for Investments, Export and Tourism.
All member companies were chosen on the basis of strict evaluation parameters, including technology, innovation and project development skills, as well as the presence of a structured staff for the
management of business relations with foreign partners.
The ICT Innovation Pole is a made up of 78 players (innovative start-ups, small, medium and large companies, and research organizations) coordinated by Torino Wireless in line with regional innovation policy.As a steering organization, Torino Wireless, promotes company collaboration on innovative projects, analyzes company needs in terms of specific services (IPR, training, etc), and organizes networking activities to define the Pole’s strategic agenda and yearly plan of activities to be approved and financed by the Region of Piemonte.
